The Healthcare Champion Award is selected by committee to honor an individual or organization involved with streamlining the supply chain between treatments and patients.
The 2019 Recipient is John Quelch, Vice Provost, University of Miami, Dean, Miami Herbert Business School and the Leonard M. Miller University Professor.
Dean Quelch specializes in research about consumer centricity in healthcare, marketing and public policy.
His 2018 book “Choice Matters: How Healthcare Consumers Make Decisions and Why Clinicians and Managers Should Care (with G. Moore and E. Boudreau) discusses the increasing influence of consumers in making informed healthcare decisions and how clinicians are adapting to this increasing power base.
